Vision development as a tool to steer your organisation
Communication with stakeholders without a clear view of where your organisation is headed is impossible. What is our company doing? Why is it doing that? What are the future plans? Which threats are we facing and which opportunities exist? Answers to questions like these provide an X-ray of the organisation and its objectives. Through interviews, meetings, research and joint exercises we formulate a concrete vision and a set of clarifying Q&A (Questions and Answers). This mission, vision or Q&A is the foundation of stakeholder management.
To better guide organisations, authorities and enterprises in their search for a clear mission and distinct focus, Groep C developed the ‘brain lab technique’: an alternative to brainstorming sessions where participants achieve shared results on the basis of better balance and more distance.
Examples of vision development:
- Development of a business vision for the Belgian-Luxembourg management of an international software group by means of the brain lab technique.
- Defining the mission of a large insurance group with the top management and translating this mission to all stakeholders.
- Converting a powerful vision into concrete action for an international consultancy group.
